"This book ROCKS... It's unexpectedly entertaining and enlightening (pun intended)... There are no fads here, kind of like having a groovy guy in your living room who is incredibly knowledgeable about how your body works and what it needs, and understanding about resistance to change, but who will also inspire you to start thinking about what you're putting in your body, and to get off your ass… I loved it!!!"

Question of the Week

I've read your book and I understand there are no quick fixes for managing fat, but I'm getting married in a few months. If I could do one thing to make drastic changes in a short amount of time, what would it be?
-from Marion in New Orleans, LA

Stop eating wheat. You can still eat other carbs, but no wheat in any form.
There's nothing inherently evil about wheat itself, but refined flour does a pretty good number on your body. Re-read the "White Devil, White Devil" chapter of Your Fat to refresh your memory if you need to.

Not eating wheat will also make you cut a lot of foods from your diet that you probably shouldn't be eating anyway if you have issues with your fat. Pizza, burgers, and fried foods are going to be tough to find without wheat. Fast food will be almost impossible. If you cut these things out, your fat, sugar, and sodium consumption will inherently go down as well. All because you're just staying away from wheat.
Do this for a few months and the cake on your wedding day will be the best cake you ever put in your mouth.

Congratulations,
Jay Co
